Brian's Office

I meant to post these pictures a while ago but kept forgetting. I finally recovered them again and wanted to share. After Brian's recent promotion, he showed up for his first day back to an office covered in silver - silver aluminum foil that is!! It had to take quite a few rolls of foil plus a few man hours to make this happen! (Even the rock he has to hold the door open was covered in foil! Plus, I tried to show it but every coin in his coin rack was individually wrapped and replaced!) Made Brian feel pretty special. What's funny is that the rock and the handles on his chair are still covered in silver. It took him a few weeks to get the majority of it off.

Quick Updates

I thought I should take a moment to share some of the recent goings-on of our family. A little over a week ago Ian broke his clavicle for the second time in his life! He was playing at a friend's house and they thought it was a good idea to climb onto the house's propane tank to climb onto a tree. Needless to say, he fell about 5 feet. He tried not to admit how hurt he was but finally they called to say he was really hurting. Brian took him to the emergency room and, sure enough, it was broken. Unfortunately for him that has meant no hockey - fortunately for us it has give us a little break in the middle of our very busy hockey season! He is doing better and will have an appointment this week to see if he's well enough to return to his "normal" activities!

This past weekend we were able to go to Minneapolis to pick up our "new" car - finally! It wouldn't start at first after sitting for a few days and a "shock" to it's system. It made the ride home safely despite heavy winds creating what we call "snakes" across the road making it hard to see the road in the dark! It was a tough drive but, praise the Lord, we made it home with no incidents.

Ellie is still doing really well with potty training. We've had no accidents during the day in weeks! We're still working on night-time but not pushing it too hard.

The next couple of months are going to be a whirlwind with activities, trips, and preparing for our move in late May.

North Dakota Pictures

I have taken some pictures lately of different things and wanted to share them.
